<post_title><![CDATA[Will an osteopath help with Tennis elbow?]]></post_title>
<post_content_short><![CDATA[Tennis elbow is a condition that causes pain on the outside of the elbow due to irritation and overuse of the forearm extensor tendons.
Despite the name, it is not only caused by playing tennis and is commonly seen in people who perform repetitive gripping, lifting, typing,
or manual work. Symptoms often include pain when gripping objects, lifting, twisting movements, or even simple tasks such as opening jars or
shaking hands. The pain can gradually worsen over time if the tendon continues to be overloaded without adequate recovery. Osteopathy can
assist in the management of tennis elbow by looking at both the site of pain and any contributing factors throughout the upper limb and
neck. Treatment may involve soft tissue massage, joint mobilisation, stretching, and exercise rehabilitation to improve strength and tendon
capacity. Osteopaths can also provide advice around ergonomics and activity modification to help reduce strain on the elbow, support
recovery, and lower the chance of symptoms returning in the future.]]></post_content_short>
