Bec joined the Osteoworks team in 2011 after moving from Melbourne in search of warmer weather. Bec is currently studying a degree in Nutritional Medicine and loves incorporating both osteopathy and nutrition treating the person as a whole, as she believes both are reciprocal in maintaining optimal health and wellbeing.
Bec’s particular interests of treatment include women’s health, pregnancy, stress and sporting injuries. Having a background as a runner, netballer and triathlete competing in social to International grade competitions, Bec understands what is involved in training for an event and how this can impact the body. She thoroughly enjoys seeing you through every phase of the journey helping you achieve your goals, from athletes, weekend warriors to those juggling the stresses of everyday life.
Bec has a predominately manual and direct approach to treatment but also likes to complement this with gentle functional treatment to help calm the body’s neuromuscular system, tailoring each treatment to your specific needs. Bec has completed both the Functional Movement Screen (FMS) land Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) Levels 1 and 2 and spent time working at VFL and AFL affiliated clubs Coburg and Richmond Tigers. She has also completed further study in pregnancy and post-partum treatment of the pelvis and low back, treatment of tendinopathy’s and exercise based rehabilitation.
